Riverside is an 11-16 Business & Enterprise College situated on the western side of a busy, thriving multi-cultural city, with approximately 700 students on roll. The college draws its students predominantly from the Narborough Road/Rowley Fields and Braunstone areas.

The most recent inspection report in March 2007 praised the college for its continued improvement since the last inspection. In particular the report mentions the good leadership and management of the senior team and the hard work of all the committed staff. Curriculum provision was particularly highlighted, as was the strong inclusive culture within the college. Relationships between students and staff, as well as student attitude and behaviour also received significant praise, which recognised the strong and extensive support and guidance programme the college has in place. Staff at Riverside are very friendly and supportive of all colleagues. They have a fantastic sense of humour!

We gained Specialist School status in Business & Enterprise in September 2006. Our aim is to instil our students with the enterprise skills so that they are prepared to take risks in their learning.

The college is part of Leicester City LA’s BSF programme and it is anticipated that we will have a state of the art building by the end of the decade.
